This species originates from Spain, specifically the Valencian Community. It can be found in caves as well as under stones in grassy areas. Its coloration varies depending on the individual and the conditions, ranging from almost translucent to orange hues.
This species readily accepts various food sources: fish flakes, spirulina, vegetables, etc. Like all isopods, they require a constant supply of calcium and dried leaves, which are essential to their diet.
