Cubaris murina is a widely distributed species, primarily found in tropical regions. It is common in the hobby and is sometimes referred to as the “little sea isopod.”
When threatened, it may either flee or conglobate, rolling into a ball as a defensive response.
This species is capable of burrowing and creating galleries, a behavior it may exhibit even when suitable shelters are already available.
